About me

Hi, I’m Brendan. I’m an avid golfer as well as a partner and father. I am from Australia where we have many great golfing destinations. I’m an accountant by training but I live for my family and friends, and to golf!

I’ve been a golfer since I was a child; although not a very gifted one! It took me 20 years to break 100 for the first time as I had many breaks from the game and played just a few times a year. Over the last decade and a bit I have played and practiced more regularly and not play to a low teen handicap, although I have been as low as 8 and am working on getting back down there.

It’s fair to say I’m a technical sort of person – it’s a trait that isn’t unusual for an accountant – and I bring that analytical approach to my golf. I like reading reviews for new equipment and it certainly influences my buying choices. I also watch way too many YouTube clips on golf instruction which generally has me swapping and changing my technique from month to month!

I know personally that there are a multitude of sites providing product reviews for golf equipment. I wanted to build a place where all of that great information was summarised to help people to find the right gear for their golfing needs, whether it be clubs, balls, or accessories. It can be confusing to know who to listen to and sometimes different reviewers will have different ratings, so I thought I would like to have a number of opinions in one place to see what the consensus was.

The purpose of GolfReviews is to provide a central hub for golfers to see results from reviewers across the web to help them make better choices for their gear purchases. Golf gear can be expensive so it’s good to do your research, and it helps if there is a place that does some of that research for you, and also provides links to useful resources.

If you ever need a hand or have any questions, feel free to leave them below and I will be more than happy to help you out.

All the best,
